Tenglin has extended its multipole conductor rail series with a new six-pole system rated 350 A, developed for large gantry cranes, port handling equipment and automated storage and retrieval yards.

The new rail keeps the same compact 63 mm profile as the existing multipole range, so it can be installed with standard hangers, joint sleeves and current collectors. Rated current has been raised to 350 A per conductor, allowing a single run to feed travel, hoist and auxiliary drives of heavy-duty cranes without paralleling rails.

Contact surfaces are machined after extrusion and protected by a stainless-steel strip at the collector interface, which limits wear on long crane runways. The housing is co-extruded with the conductor, a process that eliminates the air gaps that usually cause vibration and contact bounce at high travel speeds.

Built for demanding environments

The rail is available with a UV-stabilised, high-temperature housing for steel mills, foundries and outdoor port applications. A cast-resin or steel-body version can be supplied where the installation is exposed to molten splash, dust or aggressive humidity.

Crane builders increasingly want one electrification run that covers the whole machine, including control and communication lines. The new 350 A multipole rail gives them that without a wider profile.
